JAndy comes to visit!

We had our first visitors a couple of weeks ago, and can I just say, it was so fun! Jan and Andy came down for an educators conference and while they were here they spoiled us rotten!

They let us tag along on their shopping excursion at the fashion/fabric district in LA. That was the first time that Brad and I had been there. Let me just tell you, it's store after store after store, crammed to the ceiling with every kind of fabric you can think of. You can find anything you want, for super cheap. I could not get over it! This is the only picture I got while we were shopping. Brad is carrying all the fabric they bought back to the car. Good little pack mule...
We also took a drive up to Beverly Hills and checked out all the fancy houses and cars, and we definitely weren't disappointed. I understand now why all the famous people live up there, you can hardly see anything! There are so many trees and plants that you would hardly know there are even houses up there. It's gorgeous! Unfortunately, like I've said before, I only manage to get my camera out once per trip so I didn't get any pictures of Beverly Hills. Andy was a great tour guide too, I might add. He was always pointing out places where movies were filmed and all that good stuff. Here is the one picture I took overlooking Hollywood while we were on our way up the Beverly Hill. It's quite a view! One of our favorite parts of the week was going to the LA Temple with them. It took us about two hours to get there but it was well worth the drive! None of us had ever been to this one and we were just in awe of it's beauty and grandeur. Because the temple is kind of up on a hill you have the most stunning view of the city, especially at night. I love that regardless of where you are, the temple always feels like home!
We also went over to Downtown Disney and had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe one night, so fun and SO tasty! It's always a good time with those two. Thanks JAndy! Yorba Linda will never be the same to us.
