Thank You for Smoking

Our neighbors smoke. ALL of them. We don't have anything against smokers, we really don't, but the girl that lives beneath us smokes at least 10 packs a day, I swear. Ok, not 10, but sometimes it feels like it. We're starting to have this cool, breezy weather and we love to have the windows open...until she needs a smoke break. I keep telling Brad she's not smoking normal cigarettes, but what do I know? Just that it smells awful and forces us to shut the windows. And don't even get me started on the old lady that lives straight across from us. When she goes out on her smoke breaks she peeps into our windows. It's awkward. I'm thankful that I don't HAVE to have anything to get through the day. I mean, sure, I should probably take it easy on the cookies but I'm working on it. My co-worker was telling me yesterday morning that she was out of coffee beans at home, and that she would be useless until she got her coffee. She was right, she ended up leaving to get her coffee.

I'm thankful that Brad and I are both able to go about work and school and other activities with very few complaints. Sometimes it's not until I get sick that I'm grateful for my good health, but not this time. I'm thankful for a healthy body and I'm going to try to take better care of it...even if it does mean cutting out a few sweets.
