Mr. Presley

Remember that last post about how I was saving my pennies to see my sister and new nephew Presley? Well, a miracle in the form of my cousin and her husband came to my aide and offered me a considerably less expensive flight to Boston! (Thanks Heidi and Joe!) So, I spent last week kissing Presley's little cheeks and singing, talking and laughing with my sister. There are so many things I could write about that happened on that trip, I don't even know where to begin! I think I'll just get to the good stuff today, and maybe share the funny travel stories (Airports always produce a good story for me) later.

We baked two different kinds of Whoopie Pies, both turned out beautifully and were so delicious!

We then washed said Whoopie Pies down with a glass...er gallon, of milk.

We saved most of the Whoopie Pies to take to Akayleia's co-workers. Here she is introducing them all to Presley. He just let them pass him around. They just kept saying "He's the perfect baby!"

We also made burp clothes for Presley. I had made some for Brandon/Presley for Christmas but they liked them so much that we made more. Presley decided to get in on the action this time and hung out while we sewed.

Here is Akayleia showing off the finished product. We ended up making two of each of the ones she's holding. They are darling, yet useful!

I did get to wrap him up in the quilt I made him, and take some pictures of him with it.

All the while we chatted, sang all those old lullabies or funny songs we learned from our Mom and Grandma, reminisced about all the fun things we've done and watched some of our favorite Classic movies. The rest of the time we admired and cuddled Presley boy. We just can't get enough of him. Isn't he just to die for!?

I hated to leave, and I had cry about it most of the way home. I wish we could live closer to eachother, and all of our family, but it just makes it that much sweeter when we are together and I was sure to give Pres enough kisses to last until I could see him again.

Speaking of cheeks that need kissing; this little girl needs some kisses from me too!

These are all texts that my sister sent me of her. (We love picture messaging in our family.) My sister says Joss is quite the character and I think these pictures prove it. Sooo cute! *Note to any Shelton family that may be reading this - we looove picture messages of your kids too. Please send them!*

Who knew being an Aunt would be so fun?!

  8. Ashley, I'm so glad that you posted pictures of little Presley because I can never get the slide show to work on Akaylieas blog. I love the quilt that you made! What a darling quilt pattern, almost as cute as the baby.
Josie looks so big now!! What fun!
