Happy Birthday to Me!

Two or three weeks ago, maybe earlier, I started texting Brad picture messages of things he could get me for my birthday when I came across things that I liked. I was also sure to remind him that your 21st birthday is momentous and that you should celebrate in a great way! He usually just rolled his eyes and changed the subject but on Friday I found out he was listening!

We both had to work, and when I got there a beautiful bouquet of colorful flowers was sitting on my desk with balloons. We got off early and went to the Temple, it was a really great experience and a fabulous birthday activity. Then we came straight home because he told me his sister and her kids were coming swimming and we needed to let them in, which is true. But he didn't tell me that he also invited all of my family over to have a BBQ. Apparently he didn't tell them that it was a surprise to me though, because Missy spilled the beans and didn't even know it! Here are some photo's of the occasion.

I had loads of fun talking and laughing and enjoying some delightful food and weather. Jossie even considered taking a dip in the pool!

After the BBQ, Brad and I saw "The Soloist" and both really enjoyed it! It was a wonderful 21st birthday thanks to my thoughtful husband!
