A lot has happened since the last time Brad blogged, so I thought I would at least start on getting us caught up on our adventures by beginning with the Lehi Rodeo! We headed up to Lehi, Brad's hometown, for the famous Lehi Rodeo with his family. This is was my first experience with the weekend's festivities but Brad had been telling me all about it for so long that I was really excited to finally see what all the hype was about! We got there Thursday, just in time for the BBQ that Brad's family has while the Horse parade goes by right in front of their house. I only took a few pictures of the parade itself, but these are my favorite pictures that came from the parade:
JoEllen sporting an American Flag behind her ear, its all the rage
nowdays.

Jenna and Evan sitting on the curb waiting for someone to throw them some candy, holding little flags. How adorable are they?!
And of course, my handsome Brazilian cowboy. Brad served his mission in southern Brazil, and brought home with him the traditional clothing that the cowboys down there wear. Every year he gets them out and puts them on for the Lehi Roundup.

After the parade we cleaned up and got ready to go over to the Rodeo grounds. Brad's dad had one extra ticket to the Rodeo so we called Missy to see if she wanted to come with us, now that she lives so close! Now, I've been to my fair share of Rodeos but she's the one who really knows what's going on and how to keep score and whatnot so she taught us a thing or two. Please note the man behind us that is looking directly into the camera EVERY time! It seriously cracked us right up!

Here's one of the whole gang, well OK, only some of them.

Brad's sisters were telling me that they were a little disappointed in the rodeo this year, that it wasn't as good as it usually is but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Unfortunately, after the rodeo I put my camera away and didn't take it out again for the rest of the weekend! We saw 2 more parades, spend some time visiting with Brad's family and some of mine, played games and enjoyed the beautiful Lehi weather.
Hey that is my UNCLE!!! haha JK! That is so funny he kept looking in the camera what a weirdo! Looks like lots of fun and might I add Brad looks smokin' in his sweet outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteOh ash! You guys are having way too much fun! I love rodeos. We miss you! When you heading out? We HAVE to get together before you move! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteUm, you and Missy are the cutest! And Brad makes one heck of a cowboy! But luckily for me, Brandon served in Germany, and there's nothing better looking than leiderhosen. I'm just saying...
