Home Sweet Home

To celebrate Brad surviving his first year at Grad school, we decided to head home for a couple of weeks. We drove from CA to Lehi, a looong drive, in one day, just stopping for dinner with my family in St. George. We also wanted to celebrate with Brad's oldest niece, Ashley, for graduating from high school. (Yes, there are now two Ashley Shelton's in the family.) The graduation was really nice and Brad and I exchanged stories about when we were in high school. It was really fun to be where Brad graduated though, he was able to point out some of the teachers he had in HS that are still there. This is Brad and his other Ashley. Can you tell they're related?

Here's Brad and his favorite Ashley's.

While we were in town we also got to see ReAL play in their fancy new stadium. It was a great game, they won 4-1! There was a 5th goal, but it was recalled for an unknown reason.

Also, while we were in Lehi I got to visit with my sister and darling little niece, Jocelyn. I'm pretty sure we're best friends now, Joss and I. Right, Meg?

We spent a glorious week in Lehi with all of Brad's family that we miss so much, then headed south for another glorious week with my family. We had grand plans for both visits but all we wanted to do was hang around the house and be with family. I didn't take a single picture of our time in St. George, but we had a blast playing games, and rockin' out on Rock Band, going to Tuacahn, visiting friends, and eating homemade ice cream.

There really is just no place like home.

  1. What a sweet post! I think Lehi and Ivins are the two places in the world that feel most like home to me. Does this mean you guys won't be at Grandma's birthday party next month though??

  2. So glad you had a chance to make it home for a while. :-) I actually have a vinyl quote on my wall that says "There's No Place Like Home". The truth isn't it!
